MatLab model of tidal thermal power plants based on Anderson cycle. First approach
Keywords:
tidal thermal energy, Anderson cycle, mathematical modelAbstract
A tidal thermal power plant is a system capable of using of ocean thermal gradients to produce electricity. It is a thermal machine in which surface water acts as a heat source, while water extracted from the depths acts as a coolant. The aim is to mathematically model the open cycle or Anderson tidal thermal power plants located on the coast and connected to the electrical system. For that, the bibliography related to the elements that make up this plant was reviewed, each component was mathematically modeled, from the functional diagram proposed by the authors, the model of these plants was obtained in MatLab/SimulinkÒ, which allowed to determine for a given scenario the power produced by the generator and the delivery of electrical energy to the electrical system.
