The growing demand for water and energy in agriculture has driven the development of photovoltaic solar-powered irrigation systems as a sustainable and efficient alternative. This paper proposes an integrated methodology for the design of sprinkler irrigation systems, based on the integration of agronomic, hydraulic, and energy variables. The methodology is structured in sequential stages that include physical and climatic characterization, determination of water requirements, hydraulic network design and modeling, pump system sizing, and photovoltaic energy design. The methodological approach incorporates simulation tools and efficiency criteria aimed at ensuring hydraulic stability, irrigation uniformity, and energy compatibility. As a result, a technically structured methodology is established for the development of energy-self-sufficient and environmentally sustainable irrigation systems.
