Abstract

In the current problematic situation. This research aims to evaluate the industrial infrastructure of the city of Chimbote in 2025 and its relationship to air pollution reduction. Using a descriptive approach and surveys, it seeks to identify the main structural and technological deficiencies of local industries, as well as the predominant pollutants in the environment. The problem is framed within the context of insufficient industrial modernization, with an aging infrastructure that significantly contributes to the emission of harmful particles (PM2.5 and PM10), toxic gases (SO₂, NOx, CO), and the deterioration of public health. International, national, and local data are analyzed, demonstrating the relationship between pollution and poor environmental management. The results aim to contribute to sustainable strategies such as the implementation of clean technologies, the use of appropriate materials, and the strengthening of environmental oversight. This research seeks to generate proposals that promote responsible and sustainable industrial development, mitigating the negative effects on air quality and the health of Chimbote's residents. Industrial infrastructure, as a central variable, is studied from its physical, technological, and basic services dimensions, and is key to achieving these objectives. Covers topics in education, natural sciences, social sciences, culture, communication and information.
