Abstract

At present work, a new approach is developed to estimate the contributions to Vento's channel from Taza Grande and Taza Chica catchments. In order to quantify the discharge from both of these sources, it was necessary to apply Bernoulli's equation, taking into account the total head losses. As there are no regular historical of levels records in any of these catchments, systematics measurements were carried out between June/2021 and October/2022. The parameters estimation in proposed model was achieved using the method of maximizing the computational efficiency, according to the Kling-Gupta criteria, and comparing the results to flow values currently reported. The proposed model presents advantages that can be used to strength the management of Albear aqueduct for Havana city water supply.
