Secondary sedimentation in biological wastewater treatment
Keywords:
IVL, sludge bulking, sedimentation, biological treatmentAbstract
In conventional biological wastewater treatments, biological and physical processes co-exist, one as important as the other, on which the purification efficiency depends. Among the latter secondary sedimentation can be mentioned. Malfunctioning of settlers, whatever be the cause, can have a significant impact on the expected efficiency of treatment.
