Abstract

The research analyzes the impact of Work Practice II in Hydraulic Constructions within the Hydraulic En-
gineering program at CUJAE during the 2024-2025 academic year. Using a qualitative approach, the study
evaluates students’ experiences in rehabilitation projects, social and tourist buildings, linking the transforma-
tion of physical spaces with water sustainability and improving quality of life. The results show that work
practice constitutes a training space that integrates technical knowledge and social responsibility, generating
lasting effects, results and changes. The alignment with the INRH projections for 2025 and the National
Hydraulic Program until 2030 is evident, consolidating the academic and social relevance of the program and
preparing professionals committed to the sustainable development of the country
