This work was carried out in the Manglaralto, Montañita, Libertador Bolívar, Cadeate, San Antonio and Río Chico communes, Manglaralto parish, Santa Elena province. The objective was to evaluate the current state of the drinking water distribution system for the proposed improvement actions that allow proper operation until the year 2037. The process included the review of the bibliography, cadaster, mass balance (according to Ecuadorian Regulations) and taking improvement actions. The results showed that the system has pressure problems, inadequate configuration, the volume of the reservoirs is inadequate and the flow pumped in the wells will be insufficient from the year 2037. It is concluded that to guarantee an optimal and reliable service, it is necessary to ensure the water source and water infrastructure.
