Vulnerabilidad y riesgo sísmico en obras hidráulicas: una nueva aproximación metodológica
Abstract
Water supply systems are part of the vital services that humanity receives today, and are increasingly threatened by the impact of natural phenomena such as earthquakes. Due to the importance given to this issue from science, different methodologies have emerged to study the seismic vulnerability of water supply systems; however, there are still difficulties in the design of comprehensive vulnerability indicators and assessments that consider all its component elements. On this occasion, a general analysis is carried out on this issue and a new methodological approach is proposed to assess the vulnerability and seismic risk of water supply systems, considering the aforementioned aspects. As a result of this work, the design of a procedure is offered to determine the level of vulnerability and risks in hydraulic works, which allows evaluating these aspects by component and integrally before the impact of large-scale seismic phenomena, which includes the use of indicators and various measurement techniques in current use.
