Abstract

The objective of the study was to determine the influence of the general scour of the bridge and the local scour of a bridge abutment affected by a fluid. To carry out the study, AsterDem V3 satellite images of 1°x1° cell size with an interval of 1 arc-second (30 m, discarding zeros with a 20-year data (MTC, 2016).The netting in Iber was elaborated considering that in pillars it would be 0.50, in the river it would be 1m and in the river banks 2 m, obtaining data of approach velocity, Froude number, and scour. The Lischtvan -  Levediev and Melville and Sutherland methods were applied, obtaining values for the general scour of 0.00 m. and local scour of 11.736 m. in both pillars, respectively.
