Servicio ambiental de la reserva de la biósfera El Triunfo, Chiapas, México
Abstract
Se analizó la conectividad territorial e hídrica de la reserva de la biosfera El Triunfo (REBITRI), identificando 9 municipios con los que comparte límites administrativos y once con conectividad hídrica a través de catorce cuencas hidrográficas. La estimación del balance hídrico de cuatro cuencas identifica a la REBITRI como una zona estratégica para la recarga y regulación hídrica. La importancia del recurso hídrico se evidencia por: 1) los 1,804 títulos de derechos de uso y abastecimiento para 325 000 habitantes y 2) los riesgos de daños por inundaciones. La información generada es útil para desarrollar mecanismos que impulsen la competitividad del territorio con un enfoque de cuencas.
