Sistema para control y gestión de redes de agua potable de dos localidades de México
Abstract
En este trabajo se describe un proyecto que desarrolló un sistema de información geográfica (SIG) para la administración de la información espacial y no espacial, relacionada con la operación de una red de distribución de agua potable, la cual permitirá gestionar, evaluar y distribuir agua de buena calidad, además de automatizar el sistema para poder implementar y desarrollar en un futuro mecanismos que permitan tenerlo a la vanguardia tecnológica. Este SIG fue aplicado a dos unidades habitacionales de Tehuacán, Puebla, México, en el cual por medio de herramientas computacionales se permite al usuario visualizar y efectuar operaciones con la información de la base de datos generada del SIG. Los cálculos hidráulicos fueron realizados por medio del software Epanet, obteniéndose resultados confiables y un buen diseño del sistema.
