Physical geologic model of karst aquifer San Diego de los Baños, Pinar del Rio, Cuba
Abstract
The karst aquifer San Diego de los Baños has been little studied from the geophysical point of view, provoking a deficit of petrophysical information. With the application of the analogy principle, geologic information of works developed in the area and information of physical properties measures in areas with similar characteristics to this aquifer, wells were modeled distributed in the whole sector, being able to create the first physical geologic model of this karst aquifer. The models of physical parameters 3D were elaborated, and the local answers of the gravitational and magnetic fields were calculated, taken place by sources that are until the 400 meters, the behavior of the resistivity it was also calculated in the section. Finally, it was proposed the rational complex of geophysical methods that would contribute to a better characterization of the aquifer.
