Gestión de recursos hidráulicos bajo riesgo de terremotos en Ecuador: 1. Sismotectónica
Abstract
En la primera parte de este trabajo se revisan algunas de las características geológicas, geomorfológicas, hidrológicas, hidráulicas y geofísicas más importantes del Ecuador y particularmente de la vertiente tectónicamente inestable del Pacífico y su relación con la prevención y mitigación de peligros de los efectos dañinos de los terremotos y sus efectos secundarios sobre la infraestructura hidráulica y la preservación de la cantidad y calidad de los recursos hídricos del Ecuador Occidental
