MODFLOW y AQÜIMPE: dos aproximaciones a la realidad
Abstract
En este artículo se realiza un análisis comparativo entre algunos de los resultados que ofrecen dos sistemas de modelación de aguas subterráneas: MODFLOW y AQÜIMPE. Con vista a que los modeladores puedan utilizar en un caso de estudio las herramientas y capacidades de simulación de ambos modelos, se presentan varias estrategias de modelación que contribuyen a la similitud de los resultados de ambos sistemas, constituyendo uno de los resultados más notables del trabajo. Para el análisis comparativo se realiza la modelación matemática de un caso de estudio didáctico mediante ambos sistemas y posteriormente se modela el acuífero de Cuentas Claras (provincia Granma, Cuba) con el objetivo de analizar el comportamiento de ambos modelos ante un caso real en donde existen varias zonas de propiedades y de infiltración.
