Gestión de acueducto y alcantarillado mediante sistemas de información geográfica
Abstract
Las empresas dedicadas a la actividad de acueducto y alcantarillado presentan una serie de deficiencias como el desconocimiento del sistema dado por la escasa información de redes y la falta de fidelidad de la existente, así como la pobre utilización de herramientas que faciliten la gestión. Es indispensable detener el deterioro de estos sistemas para lograr mayor eficiencia de los mismos, resultando muy eficaz la utilización de herramientas como los sistemas de información geográfica (SIG). En este trabajo se realiza un análisis de la utilización de los SIG en las empresas gestoras de agua. Se explica el diseño del SIG que se explota en la empresa Aguas de la Habana y su vinculación con otras tecnologías, aplicables a cualquiera de las empresas de acueducto y alcantarillado.Palabras clave: acueducto, alcantarillado, deficiencias, gestión, SIG.
