Ingeniería Hidráulica y Ambiental

About the Journal

Ingeniería Hidráulica y Ambiental is a quarterly publication, in electronic format, with open access to full text. It is registered in the National Registry of Serial Publications with ISSN 2788-6050, ISSN-L 1680-0338 and RNPS 2066.

Its main objective is the dissemination of knowledge through original scientific works on the different topics of Hydraulic Engineering to contribute to the improvement of research and teaching.

It is published by the Centro de Investigaciones Hidráulicas (CIH) of the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the Universidad Tecnológica de La Habana “José Antonio Echeverría” (CUJAE).

It is, with its current name, a natural continuation of the magazine Tecnología (1968-1976) in its Hydraulic Engineering Series, a serial publication printed by the Center for Scientific and Technical Information of the University of Havana. Later it became Technical Sciences: Hydraulic Engineering (1977-1979) edited and printed at CUJAE. This was followed by the journal Ingeniería Hidráulica also printed, between 1980 and 2000, when it was renamed Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering, whose name and uninterrupted publication remains to this day. In 2007 it was converted to the digital format with ISSN 1815-591X, which was modified by the current one in 2021.

Its content covers any topic related to Hydraulic Engineering and the environment, including:

Fundamental and pipeline hydraulics
Surface and underground hydrology
Management and economy of hydraulic resources
Hydraulic networks
Sanitary engineering
River engineering
Maritime and coastal engineering
Hydraulic structures and works
Irrigation and drainage
Pumping stations

Its source of financing is the Technological University of Havana. The sending of manuscripts, the processing and the publication does not mean any cost to the authors, it is totally free.

Articles are published in Spanish and English.

It provides immediate free access to its content under the principle of making research freely available to the public, which fosters a greater global knowledge exchange.

All the contents of this magazine are distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 Unported License, therefore, its copying and distribution by any means is allowed, as long as it maintains the recognition of its authors and no commercial use of the works is made.
