Proportional Flowmeters: options, scope and limitations

In Cuba, due to the need to measure the flows that circulate through small and large diameter conductors and given the momentary impossibility of acquiring high-tech solutions in international markets, these solutions have begun to be implemented as a provisional alternative variant to carry out these measurements. This paper is a summary of the main aspects that must be kept in mind when undertaking the design and construction of a proportional flowmeter, emphasizing the potentialities and weaknesses of each of the solutions that can be implemented for such purposes.
